Hello Fellow Pullers!
Today is your last chance to report your bags of
Garlic Mustard for the 2013 Challenge!
You can also email firstname.lastname@example.org with a list of any Garlic Mustard Free Sites you have this season. Again, these are areas where all the 2nd year stalks have been pulled, or areas that have been worked on and are being monitored for new growth.
We’ll be announcing the winners at the beginning of our next monthly webcast that is scheduled for July 10th and Noon EST. To access the webcast, simply follow the links at www.stewardshipnetwork.org. We look forward to seeing you there!
In other news: the New Haven Bird Club (Challenge participants out of Connecticut) have been working hard, and their efforts were featured in the New Haven Register earlier this month. Click here to check out the full news story and video!
“We Can Do It!” Inspired by your website, I pulled all the 2nd year plants on the property of the Woodmont UCC in Milford, CT as a part of the National UCC Mission 4/1 Earth Campaign. …I got all the blooming plants on the property, plus those making an incursion into the inland wetland on the other side-11 big bags, 5 sessions of 2 hours each. THEN I started a “Green Team” at the church so next year I will have helpers!”
You go, girl!
Big thanks to Winie Wirth of New Haven Bird Club for sharing- We’re so happy to have you join in on the challenge!!
Enjoy the day and Happy Reporting!
